You can discover your own dreams there and keep them alive.
I watched a video on
Susan Boyle, who featured in ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ reality show. It was quite
inspiring. Her voice as she sang held the audience and judges, including Simon
Cowell spellbound. Her performance drew tears from many eyes including yours
truly.
In the words of one person who watched her video: ‘I know I'm probably the last person to have seen this video in the entire world, but it made me cry when I saw it. I'm definitely not the most beautiful person in the world and I can be honest when I say that I think susan boyle is absolutely beautiful. I watched this video and I cried. Truly, inspirational. I hope this is a lesson out there to everyone to never, ever let what other people think of you get in the way of your dreams’
Susan believed in herself. She had always wanted to perform in front of a large audience . She vowed to make that audience ‘rock’ if she had an opportunity to perform. From the age of twelve, she knew she had a gift. She could sing with a very unique and touching voice. She kept believing that her time would come to share her gift with the world. And life gave her the opportunity.
Susan who was not a city lady was seen by the then cynical audience that she was just another bore on the show. But, when she open her mouth to sing , everyone who heard her sonorous voice knew that a new star was born.
You were born a star but when will you shine your gift to the world? When will you help build, inspire, heal the world with the gifts God gave you. You can never be the best if you don’t take the step. Divine guidance comes to those who believe that there is something good awaiting them and they take action to realize their dreams.
No great leader said it would be easy but they said that every dream is achievable. Are you living another man’s dream? Are you minding other people’s business while you leave yours unattended to? Are you following other people’s philosophy which has not worked for you while you have a better message for the world?
When will you sing that song the world is waiting to dance to? When will you give that speech that will revolutionize the world? When will you practice that idea that may save your country from untold suffering and hardship? When will you write that book that will inspire millions untold? The dream is in you. You must not abort it. You must not kill it with doubt. The world may mock you. You may become a laughing stock in your neighborhood.
They did it to Mahatma Gandhi. They did it to Martin Luther King jr. They did it to our Lord Jesus Christ. Never mind . The world is waiting for you. Rise up today and paint this world with your dream.Keep that dream alive. Yes, you can.
